e-SPECS Integration Available for US Department of Veterans Affairs Master Specifications
Oct 20, 2009 – InterSpec. Inc. has completed the development of the e-SPECS integration of the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Master Specifications. The e-SPECS integration offers AEC firms an integrated solution with CAD and BIM applications as well as non-integrated designs using the e-SPECS Checklist and Editing applications. In addition to time and cost savings for clients working on VA projects, firms can realize higher quality design documents through the e-SPECS integrated construction drawings and specifications.
Joseph Garrity, Senior Project Architect, Principal at Array Healthcare Facility Solutions, said “the e-SPECS integration of the VA Master Specifications has been fantastic for us. The e-SPECS Checklist and Editor is much easier to use than Word document editing saving us time and money. We’re now integrating the VA Master with our Revit BIM models saving time and money, creating better coordinated drawings and specifications while keeping our project specs and BIM models in sync with each other. I’d strongly recommend VA designers take advantage of the e-SPECS integration.”
A Principal, Jeff Slane, at NBBJ stated “e-SPECS gives us a centrally managed solution for the various projects, regions and specifiers throughout the firm. As a large firm, we need to ensure consistent high quality project documentation are delivered on time. The e-SPECS VA Master Integration means that our VA projects can utilize the same process flow as our other projects producing similar high quality consistent results.”
Michael Brennan, CEO of InterSpec, stated “we are glad to be extending our solutions to include the VA Master Integration. e-SPECS customers like NBBJ and Array Healthcare are looking for BIM integrated solutions that help them ensure the highest quality of product delivered. Reducing time spent on document creation, coordination and routine editing and checking will allow more time to add value to the quality of the VA design being delivered.”
