Partnering for your success

For more than 20 years, HP and Autodesk have had a close alliance that ensures that the products both companies bring to market match the needs of their customers. And that commitment to each other has enabled HP to design and deliver products, including workstations and large format printers, that work better and faster for Autodesk applications.

As part of that alliance, HP assigns dedicated personnel to test, optimize, and support the full HP product line, and to work with Autodesk personnel to ensure the absolute reliability and performance of those products. HP also shares product road maps so that new Autodesk application functionality will be properly supported in HP’s product lines, including the HP Z Workstation family and HP EliteBook Mobile Workstations that are powered by Intel® Xeon® and Intel® Core™ processors.

Creating a winning combination

In addition, HP established an engineering test process to test Autodesk applications on the various HP workstation configurations in order to optimize them for Autodesk applications. As part of that process, HP submits workstations to several Autodesk sites for applications certification, including Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk 3dsMax, and Autodesk Maya. Unlike many of its competitors, these HP workstations remain at Autodesk support centers so customer problems can be exactly replicated on HP workstations if needed.

HP application engineers also develop and maintain special, free utilities that help improve the performance of HP workstations running Autodesk applications. Among those tools is HP Performance Advisor, a downloadable utility that quickly and easily tunes an HP workstation. It helps users set up their workstation configurations with the best settings, drivers, and other selections so that the system runs at its optimal performance.

Millions of users rely on HP workstations to deliver a stable platform that allows them to run their Autodesk applications in a way that helps them quickly, easily, and cost effectively design and deliver new applications. And Autodesk personnel are among those users. In fact, Autodesk uses HP workstations to develop and test its keystone applications, including Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Architectural Studio, and Autodesk Revit.

Connecting with Autodesk users

In addition to its alliance with Autodesk, HP is also a long-time supporter of Autodesk User Group International (AUGI) and a major sponsor of many AUGI activities. That commitment is based on HP’s belief that working closely with the AUGI community can have a positive affect on both its members and HP.

Participation in events like Autodesk University and AUGI Cad Camps gives HP an opportunity to share the latest information about its solutions, as well as future product directions. As important, it gives HP a chance to hear directly from the AUGI community itself.
