MWF is a wall and floor framing extension running inside the Autodesk Revit Platform for wood and light gauge metal construction.

MWF is both a template driven as well as rules based application that recognizes Revit walls, floors, doors, windows and openings. Automatically generates stud and joist arrangements, panel numbers, sheathing, shop drawings, cut list and CNC output. The software application supports both stick framing as well as panelized construction work methods. Both Metric and Imperial units are supported.

MWF is suitable for engineers, estimators, contractors and builders involved in mid-rise, dry wall and / or residential construction who are looking for a professional framing tool that is Revit based. Furthermore, MWF is modularly written which facilitates the creation of custom features and functionalities as per customer requirements.

FEATURES & BENEFITS

• MWF is fully integrated inside the Revit environment and thus is fully BIM compatible. Many projects on the market today require BIM compatibility in order to insure optimized coordination between the various disciplines involved.
• MWF Wall framing module auto-detects Revit walls, doors, windows and openings. MWF Floor module autodetects Revit floors including openings. Supports both balloon as well as platform methods of construction.
• Template/rules driven. Models panel stud framing arrangements and extra studding around openings based on user defined preferences. Includes bearing beams, bracing and kickers. All studs created are native Revit Families.
• Join definition. User can define join type either before or after framing. Join type can be created by user or simply selected from existing library. MWF can apply the joins automatically throughout the project based on user rules.
• Supports curtain wall functionality including deflection connectors. MWF automates the proper placement of the deflection connectors thus allowing the user to generate a detailed scheduled of both wall studs and connectors.

• Automated fully dimensioned shop drawings and cut lists with “Live” bi-directional links to the model. Any changes applied to the 2D drawings will immediately update the 3D model and vice-versa.
• MEP clash detection with automated opening creation for floors and walls. MWF will automate the creation of openings as well as the framing of the openings required in both walls and floors based on user defined rules.
• CNC output available for the Studmeister and Howick. MWF output can be customized to meet other machine interface requirements.

Technical support and product upgrades are covered by annual subscription. Support is available via email, telephone or remotely via web. MWF Training is available on-site at your facility or on-line from our office in Montreal, QC.
