AutoTrack Junctions is a powerful interactive roundabout design tool that can model and analyze standard and mini roundabouts to worldwide standards.

Capable of modelling roundabouts with up to eight legs, it allows the user full control over approach road alignments, entry/exit flare dimensions and splitter island size and location. You can also place and analyze the effect of features such as pedestrian crossings, traffic controls and rumble strips. All geometry and features can be edited using intuitive grip editing. Analyze sightlines, stopping distances and fastest line speed and display these critical design parameters in the easy to read ‘head up’ displays. Set limiting values and see immediately when these are exceeded.

But it gets better. AutoTrack is able to link dynamically with the industry standard flow/capacity analysis program ARCADY. So, whereas normally, the geometric design and flow/capacity analysis are separate iterative operations, AutoTrack Junctions is able to combine these these two processes and allow them to be performed simultaneously. As geometry is changed the data is passed to ARCADY, the recalculated values returned and displayed in the head up displays.

The Animation and Flyby tools lets you view your design from any angle or from the drivers viewpoint, and if you also have AutoTrack Roads you can place swept paths on the calculated valid routes through the roundabout without even having to set the start orientation.

AutoTrack Junctions is set to revolutionize roundabout design, making it easier and faster to generate proposals, thereby saving precious time and money and encouraging innovative design.
